Construction Has Begun On San Jose - Caldera Highway!

Construction has begun on the highway to Jaco, locally known as the San Jose - Caldera Autopista. Upon its completion, it will significantly reduce the drive time to Jaco from San Jose. Costa Rica's President, Oscar Arias, and the Minister of Transportation, Karla Gonzalez, are shown (below) operating a huge earthmoving machine during ceremonies celebrating the start of construction.

This news has been eagerly awaited by everyone who heads to the beach for the weekend, and is of particular interest to investors, who stand to make a substantial profit from the increased accessibility and tourist traffic. The town of Jaco is preparing to become a boomtown, improving the infrastructure to handle the influx of tourists.
